Awards Ceremonies

  • Friday, 17 September, will be a special day for the crafts-people in film and television, with an afternoon of a fine food, awards and entertainment. This event has always sold out. In 2010, the Craft Awards lunch will grow to include some of the categories previously celebrated on the Saturday evening, and will be held for the first time at the Auckland Town Hall.
  • On Saturday, 18 September, everyone will come together at Auckland's Civic Theatre. The evening will commence with a red carpet, VIP entry to the Civic Theatre. In previous years, the media pack have been kept on their toes, with live television crews vying with the paparazzi for the best shots.

New Idea People's Choice Award


As part of New Idea's sponsorship of the Qantas Film and Television Awards, they are running a consumer promotion in their weekly magazine. The public can vote for their favourite TV star in the New Idea People's Choice Award competition.
